I saw this band at Ronnie Scotts before Bob Berg passed away and sat right by Gazza's kit for the second set. The band were kicking and Gary's playing was awsome.
Incidently, Gerrard Prescencer (tpt) is English and his band supported Joe Lockes band. They liked his playing so much that they flew him out to the States to guest on the CD. Check it out!!

There's a new CD out w/ Gary on drums. Its called 4 Walls of Freedom by Joe Locke. Bob Berg is playing sax and it was his last recording project. The CD is kinda a tribute to him and must be very cool and tasteful to check it out. Its always inspiring to hear Gary playing straight ahead jazz...he is awesome!!!

Novak is 1 of my favs; he's DEF a contender worthy of the "Colaiuta/Weckl/Donati/Chambers/Kennedy/Gratton/Horacio/Sanchez/Lang/Husband/Covington/etc" crown...
...OK, forgive me, but the way you worded it - was it Prescencer or Novak that was "flown out to guest" on [Locke's?] new[?]CD....

Fuse, it was Gerrard that was invited to guest on the album. He is one of our finest trumpeters.
